The Vincennes Indiana Roatry Club is please to announce that applications are being accepted for the Charles R. Cronenwett Academic Scholarship for the 2016-2017 academic year. Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale after seven semesters of high school. Applications deadline Friday, March 17.

NANCY JAYNES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The scholarship of up to $1,500 for college or post-secondary technical schooling is awarded to an Indiana High School Senior whose parent is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. KNOX COUNTY LILLY ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Although the Community Foundation Scholarship Application is not yet open, students may begin applying for the Knox County Lilly Endowment Scholarhip.
Requirements:
1. Be a resident of Knox County, Indiana
2. Be a graduate of an accredited Knox County or Indiana high school or academy by June 2016 and attend full senior year at the same high school or academy.
3. Have a minimum 3.75 GPA
4. Have a minimum SAT score of 1700, with a combined math and verbal score of 1150 or higher, or a minimum ACT score of 27.
5. Have completed the Academic Honors or Core 40 in high school upon graduation.
6. Be available for an interview with the scholarship committee.

ELKS LEGACY AWARDS

Eligibility: High school seniors going on to college who are the children or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks are welcome to apply. Applicants compete separately against other children and grandchildren from the state of their sponsoring Elks Lodge. They are judged on the core values of the Elks National Foundation: Knowledge, Charity, Community Service, Integrity

ELKS 2017 MOST VALUABLE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Elks are committed to building a better future. That's why the Elks National Foundation awards over 7.5 million each year in scholarships to tomorrow's leaders. In addition to the awards that are made on a national level the local Lodge awards a total of seven scholarships each year to students from South Knox, Rivet and Lincoln High School.

 ELKS EMERGENCY EDUCATIONAL GRANTS

Eligibility: Emergency Educational Grants provide college financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks in the form of renewable, one-year grants ranging up to $4,000. Students must demonstrate financial need to qualify for an EEG. This grant is for educational assistance only and is not intended to cover the entire cost of a college education.

The Wabash Valley Community foundation would like to make you aware of two scholarship that are available to students who are Knox County residents.

Dorothy Wurst Porter Scholarship Foundation - You inted to pursue a liberal arts major at a private liberal arts institution and you demonstrate academic achievement, financial need and involvement in extracurricular activities.

James F. Jackson Scholarship - Preference given to students demonstrating excellence in the areas of math and science. You are well-read in the area of nonfiction books/publications.

Scholarships application for 2017-2018 academic year are no on-line at WWW.VINU.EDU/SCHOLARSHIP  
Be sure and click on the 2017-2018 academic year. For all consideration of all scholarships, this application must be submitted by . After that deadline scholarships are awarded based on availablility. For a complete scholarship listing, please to to    www.vinu.edu/scholarships    All scholarship applications submitted will be considered for an awared by a committee that will review each applicant's qualifications. Each committee's goal is to distribute more that $1,000,000 to those who are most qualified and/or most in need. A student may receive mulitple awards, but only one academic scholarship. Scholarship awarding is contigent on a student's successful admission to VU for the specific term(s) requested. For first and full consideration (including all Academic Scholarships), scholarship applications must be received by. Scholarship applications submitted after the deadline are not eligible for Academic Scholarships (Val/Sal, Presidential, Blue & Gold, Academic Honors Diploma). STUDENT OF INTEGRITY SCHOLARSHIP

The Tri-State Better Business Bureau (BBB) will be presenting three area high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2017 with scholarships. One student will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship and two students will each receive a $2500 scholarship to the school/college of their choice.
